Hancock
County Chapter
The
Hancock County Chapter of the Ohio Horsemen's
Council is a group of horse people who are
dedicated to serving the equine community.
The purpose of the OHC is to promote the
interests of the entire horse industry in Ohio;
through political awareness and public
information, and by developing a close working
relationship among individuals and organizations
who recognize the importance of the horse
industry to the social and economic well being
of Ohio.
Ohio
Horseman's Council
The
OHC was started in 1972 as a grass roots
movement of horse people who felt that an
organization that had no breed affiliation or
private interests to serve was needed to
represent that united horsemen of Ohio.
We also seek to improve horse show
facilities at the local, county and state fair
level. We
are also developing new equine competitive
contests. We
sponsor trail rides and help maintain
established trails, as well as create new ones.
We actively support community charities.
As a group, the OHC supports the equine
lifestyles.
We buy horses, feed, trailers, truck,
tack, training and veterinarian services;
thereby supporting local horse related
businesses.
We
make a difference-a Big difference. |
Code
of Ethics
As
an Ohio Horseman's Council member, my fundamental duty is to better the
equine community and to educate, promote, and enhance the equine industry.
I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all and be well
behaved in a manner that does not bring discredit to me or the Ohio
Horseman's Council. I will be consistently mindful of others, honest
in thoughts and deeds in my personal life, and exemplary in obeying the
laws. I will cooperate with all legal authorities and their
representatives.
I
know that I alone am responsible for my own standards of performance and
will take every opportunity to enhance and improve my level of knowledge and
competence.
